Porta Finance advises on the sale of Baltic Ticket Holdings to BaltCap and Eastcom Capital

15 February, 2021

Baltic Ticket Holdings (“BTH”), the leading events ticketing company in the Baltics and Belarus, has been acquired by BaltCap Private Equity Fund III and Eastcom Capital.

BTH is the largest events ticketing business in the Baltics and Belarus operating since 1997 through strong local platforms Piletilevi, Biļešu Serviss, Bilietai.lt and Kvitki.by.

Its main line of business is events ticket sales through online platforms and a network of over 700 physical sales points. In 2019, over 6 million tickets to more than 36,000 events were intermediated by BTH.

Porta Finance advised Mr Evgueny Finkelstein during the disposal process of BTH. Mr Finkelstein is the founder and owner of PMI (Petersburg Music Industry) Corporation, the largest media holding in St. Petersburg focused on events promotion since 1998 having organised more than 300 shows of international and Russian artists. PMI Corporation owns Kassir.ru, the largest events ticket sales company in Russia. In 2018 a stake in Kassir.ru was acquired by TCS Group Holding PLC, owner of Tinkoff.ru financial supermarket.

This is the third transaction of Porta Finance in the events ticket sales business:

  • in 2013 Porta Finance advised founding shareholders of BTH in the disposal process to Mr Finkelstein,

  • in 2020 Porta Finance advised founding shareholders of Bilesu Paradīze, events ticket sales business in Latvia, on the sale to Delfi, part of Ekspress Grupp, leading media holding listed on Tallinn Stock Exchange.
